Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Latent (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Latent is an educational app that teaches AI literacy through structured lessons, quizzes, and a hands-on, on-device AI sandbox. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial educational use.

User Responsibilities

• You must be at least 4 years old to use this App (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored within the App.
• You agree not to use the App for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Latent offers optional in-app purchases:

• Latent Pro (Monthly): An auto-renewable subscription that unlocks all chapters and every sandbox exercise.
• Latent Pro (Annual): An auto-renewable subscription with the same benefits, billed yearly.

Subscription terms:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your App Store account settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Content and Intellectual Property

Latent's lessons, quizzes, and explanations are original educational content created for Latent. The interactive sandbox runs on Apple's on-device frameworks (Foundation Models, Natural Language, Vision, Speech, and Image Playground); any AI-generated output is produced on your device for educational illustration. The Latent app design, branding, and content are the intellectual property of Somesh Arora.

Disclaimers

• The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• Educational content is for general knowledge purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
• AI-generated output in the sandbox is illustrative, may be inaccurate, and should not be treated as authoritative.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Somesh Arora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.

Your Data

Latent stores your progress only on your device. Because nothing is uploaded, you can permanently remove all of your data at any time by deleting the App. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes are effective upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
